Value labels at the end of a line are now consistently ordered from highest (top) to lowest (bottom). Previously, they could sometimes appear out of order.

New: Line & area marker tooltips
You can now add tooltips to line and area markers on locator maps. Tooltips can be used to display additional context and information for readers when clicking or hovering on markers.

We fixed an issue with markers sometimes not being clickable or draggable even when they appeared interactive.

We fixed a bug whereby size legend was still showing when symbol size was set to fixed.

It’s now possible to configure if the overlay label is shown in the legend, in our updated Label settings in the overlay editor.

The color legend is now only shown when something has been set to display in it - e.g a customized color, or an overlay. This means that charts no longer display a generic swatch for the overall chart color when that isn’t the case.

We made vertical grids less visually prominent in relation to horizontal grids. This matches their styles in regular line and column charts.

In tooltip settings, when using the “Same as horizontal axis” format option and the horizontal axis is set to “auto”, the date or number format will always match.

We added districts for Hanoi, Vietnam 🇻🇳, districts for Kaohsiung, Taiwan 🇹🇼, and hromadas for Ukraine 🇺🇦. For the USA 🇺🇸, we added new maps for major regions, states with northeast inset circles, New Hampshire floterial districts, Chicago precincts, and San Francisco analysis neighborhoods. We also updated maps of cantons and municipalities for Bosnia & Herzegovina 🇧🇦, municipalities for Croatia 🇭🇷, boroughs for Bottrop and Bayreuth, Germany 🇩🇪, regions for Valencia, Spain 🇪🇸, municipalities for Poland 🇵🇱, and parishes for Denmark 🇩🇰.

We fixed some layout issues of the editor on mobile devices.

We improved the automatic descriptions of range overlays in legend alt text.

We fixed a bug where, when adjusting the panel order through dragging and dropping, the list of panels in the controls did not update.

You can now set column labels to use the same color as the column. With the option Use column color for labels, in the Appearance group.

We fixed an issue that prevented adding symbols when using a categorical scale on the horizontal axis.

We fixed a bug that could cause data loss when publishing a chart with external data.

You can now add symbols on your lines, with the same options you know from line charts.

We improved text visibility when editing text annotations in dark mode.

For categorical grouped, stacked, and regular column charts with negative values, it is now possible to choose whether the category labels are shown at the zero baseline, or at the bottom of the chart.

We fixed an issue making it impossible to type a space into the search input field in the archive.

We added a confirmation dialog when attempting to move published charts to trash.
