Nigeria Gas Flare Sites (2012 - 2024)

The chart shows the number of upstream flare sites in Nigeria from 2012 to 2024. The number remained constant, 203 sites, between 2012 and 2017. However, from 2018, there was a notable shift as flare sites dropped from 203 to 162, marking over a 20 per cent reduction. Thereafter, the number fluctuated between 161 and 193 sites through 2024.
