According to the Afrobarometer Round 10 survey, when respondents were asked who they believe is primarily responsible for limiting climate change, the majority (53%) indicated that it is not applicable. Sixteen percent (16%) of respondents identified the national government as primarily responsible for addressing climate change. Meanwhile, 8% attributed the responsibility to wealthy or developed countries, and another 8% believed that businesses and industries hold the primary responsibility. Six percent (6%) stated that ordinary citizens should take the lead in limiting climate change, while another 6% expressed the view that climate change cannot be stopped or does not need to be addressed
