The Tour de France is becoming faster and more competitive 

Average speeds have increased over the years, and large winning margins have become less common — it could be argued that the Tour is as exciting as ever.
 

I chose to include Lance Armstrongs revoked victories in this plot because his doping scandal is an important part of the Tour's history, and puts all other efforts into perspective. Also, his bikes are just some of my favorites.
