America and Kenya have nearly the same Gini Coefficient, which is the global standard for measuring inequality

Only 5 countries separate the US and Kenya: Morocco, Tuvalu, Laos, El Salvador, and Gambia. These countries are not known for their equality either.

A Gini coefficient of 0 reflects perfect equality, where all income or wealth values are the same, while a Gini coefficient of 1 (or 100%) reflects maximal inequality, a situation where a single individual has all the income while all others have none
