Nepal Context: 18 journalists have been killed since 1992, largely during the decade-long civil war and its turbulent aftermath. Most recently, senior video journalist Suresh Rajak (Avenues TV) tragically lost his life on March 28, 2025, while live-reporting amid violent mob protests in Tinkune, Kathmandu.
