Home visiting reach in Oregon

Oregon’s needs assessment estimates that evidence-based home visiting reaches about 18% of potentially eligible families using the eligibility framework applied by the Health Resources and Services Administration and the National Home Visiting Resource Center. When need is defined more as young children living in poverty, estimated reach drops to about 8 percent. Together, these estimates show that home visiting currently reaches only a fraction of Oregon families who could benefit (8%-18%).
