The Sudanese crisis is affecting the Central African Republic (CAR). Thousands of refugees are fleeing from Sudan into the CAR. On May 6, United Nations OCHA reported at least 9,700 people settled near the Am-Dafock border. 56% of the CAR population is already in need of humanitarian assistance. A further increase in this percentage could threaten the resilience of the international aid apparatus.
