What this reveals is that there is a higher proportion of people living in the continent of Asia who are located on more hazardous places that are prone to natural disasters. For instance, the Pacific Ring of Fire; droughts and floods actively influence the ways in which densely populated cities are subjected to more intense natural disasters. Climate change is likely to further exacerbate this trend.
